One of the best divorce attorneys. My mother’s divorce started about 2 years ago. We had a Zoom meeting with Mr. Kousa, and he didn’t make promises or speak ill of any other attorneys we mentioned. He explained the processes and told us he would do everything he could to help my mother. Although I felt he was the right one, my mother ultimately chose another attorney who made her promises he couldn’t keep. It cost my mother a great deal of money and time because she didn’t have the confidence that she would come out ok. Fast forward, we ultimately retained Mr. Kousa, and it was smooth sailing from there. She is beyond happy with the outcome of her divorce and couldn’t thank Mr. Kousa enough for the amazing display of professionalism that resulted in her getting what she wanted. Her only regret was not hiring him from the start of her divorce.

Condensed Version: Please read the reviews! After reading them, the only thing you should be thinking about is retaining Jonny as your attorney before your ex does! You want Jonny on your side, trust me. I firmly believe the saying "Do what is right." applies not only in life but also to how Jonny conducts himself as a person, lawyer, and how he runs his law office. Long Version, Here is my experience: 1st time ever dealing with any attorney and/or divorce, and hopefully the only time. I called Jonny based on his online reviews. Scheduled free in-person consultation a week later. During consultation, Jonny was very straightforward and to the point. He answered all my questions and encouraged me to ask as many as I wanted and I never felt rushed. After consultation, I was sold and did not want or feel the need to contact any other attorneys. He was the only attorney I contacted. Filed for divorce and waited for my ex to retain her own attorney. When she finally retained attorney, Jonny alerted me right away with an email that was titled "Welcome to the show!" Ursula and Rayri guided me on what required documents were needed for Mandatory Disclosure and Discovery. Ursula and Rayri are the best and were always there when I had any questions and/or concerns. Rayri spent a lot of time on my case and she was a pleasure to work with. She even worked late certain nights and weekends to finish my required exhibits. My divorce was drawn out due to a difficult scheming ex that would not cooperate with her own attorney. My ex kept delaying every step of the way and Jonny was by my side guiding me on what and what not to do. He really educated me on what was important and was extremely responsive with emails and phone calls. Jonny is very good at predicting whether or not your case will settle at mediation or go to trial. In my experience, he does all he can to fight for you but a lot of the outcome is dependent on how greedy or stubborn your ex is. He is very honest with you and extremely knowledgeable. When we finally went to mediation, I was speechless on how concise and effective he was. The mediator kept ensuring me to listen to what Jonny had to say, and kept praising him as a great attorney. The mediator's comments were an understatement. After waiting several months in suspense worrying about what the outcomes would be during my mediation, seeing Jonny in my corner fighting and getting me everything he had promised was a "work of art." After a drawn-out process, primarily due to my ex, we finally received a final signed order from the judge dissolving the marriage. I am very happy I chose Jonny as my attorney and he will probably never truly know how much of a positive impact he has had on me and my children. Thank you Jonny, you truly are one of a kind and I enjoyed the difficult journey with you on my side. I also enjoyed your witty sense of humor. Fast forward to today, and although my case is closed, I still email Jonny asking questions about how to interpret and ensure I am correctly following the marriage settlement. He is still super responsive and that just shows he cares about his clients. My first time ever having a lawyer, and I must say I am super happy with my experience from beginning to end! I highly recommend Jonny Kousa as your lawyer! I am one of those people that go based on reviews. I took a couple of days reading these reviews. I even spoke with other lawyers that told me my process would take long, would have to do this and that and the third. But not with Mr. Kousa. I must say, I’m happy I listened to all the positive reviews, now I see why! So from the very beginning, I called and was accommodated right away with my first free consultation in person, bright and early. No wait time! Jonny was very understanding, professional, and he definitely knew what he was doing. He does not beat around the bush and does not like to lose, straight to the point, and I definitely needed a lawyer like that. He guided me, advised me what was best for my divorce process, and educated me on all I needed to know, especially since it’s a divorce with kids. Even advised me on things I didn’t know about the law and such. It was such a quick and easy process. His office looks extremely nice! Everyone so friendly, and his paralegals are also very kind, attentive, and smart. Mr. Kousa is very communicative from beginning to end and makes sure you know everything step by step. It’s awesome to say that Mr. Kousa takes your case like it was his own. Doesn’t treat you like just some other customer, but treats you with such respect.
